Kari Wuhrer was born April 28th, 1967. She is an American musician and actor. Her career began when she was a teenager and is best known for her roles as Maggie Beckett in the television series Sliders and as the Sheriff Samantha Parker in the horror comedy film Eight Legged Freaks.Wuhrer was born in Brookfield, Connecticut, the daughter of Karin (nee Noble), an accountant for payroll, as well as German American Andrew Wuhrer, an officer in the police force and a automobile salesman. There are three siblings. As a teenager she was a nightclub performer by sneaking from the house.
