Lisa Edelstein is an American actor, most famous for her role in the Fox medical drama, House. Growing up in Wayne with a strict Jewish traditions, she moved to New York City at the age of eighteen to study theatre at Tisch School of Arts. The school was heavily involved in the nightlife scene in New York City and was able to get recognized by the media. At the same time, she was becoming more conscious of AIDS and its devastating impacts. Her experience and fame, along with her personal education to write and host a television show titled Positive Me. Awake the Wild Side, a show that she hosted on MTV became her first job. Once it went off the show, she started appearing in films and television production, initially in short roles but then gradually becoming an actor.
