Lisa Edelstein (born Lisa Edelstein) is an American actress best recognized for her role as House in the Fox Medical drama House. Growing up in Wayne within a conservative Jewish customs, she emigrated into New York City at the age of 18 and began studying theater at Tisch School of Arts. But very soon she was active in the club scene, making enough splashes to get seen by the media and simultaneously, she became aware of the devastating effect of AIDS. In the end, she utilized her education along with her fame and training to compose and write an original musical entitled Positive Me and was also in the show. Awake In the Wild Side was her next job. Once Awake on the Wild Side was no longer being aired, she began acting in films as well as on TV, starting with short roles. In time, her experience as an actress increased.
