Lisa Edelstein was an American actor who gained notoriety as the actress who starred in Fox's House medical drama. Born in Wayne within a conservative Jewish traditions, she moved to New York City at the age of eighteen to study theatre at Tisch School of the Arts. But very soon, she became involved in the city's club scene, making enough splashes to be seen by the media and concurrently, becoming aware of the devastating effect of AIDS.
