Lisa Edelstein, an American actress best well-known for House, a Fox medical drama series. Growing up in Wayne with a strict Jewish traditions, she moved to New York City at the age of eighteen to study acting at the Tisch school of arts. However, very quickly, she became engaged in the city's nightclub scene, making enough splashes that she was recognized by the media, while also becoming conscious of the devastating effects of AIDS. She then merged her fame and talent with her writing skills and composition abilities to create a show called Positive Me. Her first gig was on MTV as the anchor of Awake on the Wild Side shortly after. Once the program was over, she went on to work in movies and television productions. She started with tiny roles and then established herself in the process of becoming an actor.
