Anya Taylor-Joy

Anya Taylor Joy is a sixteen year old American who was born in Miami Florida. She is half English as well as Spanish She is the child of Dennis Alan Taylor a former banker, and Jennifer Marina Joy a psychologist. His father was Argentine and Scottish English heritage. Her mother is Spanish-English. Four of her siblings belong to her father's previous marriage. The family was in Buenos Aires until she was six, after which they moved to the Victoria area of London. Taylor Joy stated that moving from Buenos Aires to Victoria was difficult, and she did not learn English in hopes of going back to Argentina. Hill House had to be her new school following the changed schools from Northlands. After that, she was enrolled at Queen's Gate School, where she studied dance and performed in productions. She dropped out of high school when she was 16 in order to pursue an acting career. Taylor-Joy always knew she wanted to be an actor. Her dream was granted a chance to try it by Sarah Doukas founder of Storm Management, who offered her a job as a model.
